Accessibility Statement

At TROBOLO, we believe everyone should be able to go off-grid, without any barriers. That goes for our toilets and for our online shop. We want you to be able to find, compare and order your composting toilet easily, whether you use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, zoom in, or simply prefer clear and simple language.

This statement explains how our online shop meets the accessibility requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882). As our company is based in Poland, the Polish Act of 26 April 2024 on ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements for certain products and services by economic operators applies. In the other EU countries we deliver to, the national laws implementing the Directive apply, for example the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in Germany or S.I. No. 636/2023 in Ireland.

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to our online shop at trobolo.com, including all language versions (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch), product pages, the shopping cart, the checkout and your customer account. It covers orders to all EU countries we deliver to.

How we make our shop accessible

We design and test our online shop based on the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, which refers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA. This includes the following measures:

Perceivable

  • Meaningful images, such as product photos, have text alternatives.
  • Text and important controls have sufficient colour contrast.
  • Information is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • You can zoom pages up to 200 % without losing content or functions.

Operable

  • All functions, including the checkout, can be used with a keyboard only.
  • The keyboard focus is clearly visible.
  • A “Skip to content” link lets you jump straight to the main content.
  • There are no time limits that would stop you from completing your order.
  • Content does not flash in a way that could cause seizures.

Understandable

  • We use clear and simple language. Keep it simple, that’s our motto anyway.
  • Navigation and layout are consistent on all pages.
  • Form fields have clear labels. Error messages explain what went wrong and how to fix it.
  • The language of each page is set correctly, so screen readers read it out properly.

Robust

  • Our pages use clean, semantic HTML with proper headings, lists and landmarks.
  • The shop works with current browsers and common assistive technologies, such as screen readers (for example NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver).

Compliance status

Our online shop is compliant with the requirements listed above. If you need information from a part of our shop that is not yet accessible, just contact us. We will provide it to you in another way.

How we checked

This statement was prepared on 20 October 2026. The assessment was based on a self-assessment by TROBOLO, using automated tests and manual checks with keyboard and screen readers.

We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make major changes to our shop.
